Hello! Iām Pattie Persaud, a proud resident of Anna Regina in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers, my childhood memories are filled with the sounds of the Pomeroon River and the rich tastes of local delicacies like pepperpot and cook-up rice. This region, with its unique blend of cultures, has shaped my identity and instilled in me a deep appreciation of our diverse heritage.
As someone who cherishes my roots, I often reflect on the stories of resilience and strength that connect us as Guyanese, whether we live here or in the diaspora. Like many, I have family members who have ventured far from home, but we remain connected through our shared experiences and traditions.
