Hello! I’m Paul Coastman, a proud labourer from the heart of Pomeroon, Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. My work keeps me grounded, but it’s my roots and community that truly define me. Growing up near the lush banks of the Pomeroon River, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for nature and the vibrant life it supports. From fishing for the freshest catch to enjoying an afternoon under the shade of the mangroves, these experiences shape my days and fuel my passion for sharing our culture.
Food plays a significant role in our Guyanese way of life. There’s nothing like gathering with family and friends over a plate of pepperpot or enjoying some sweet black cake during Christmas celebrations. I often find myself reminiscing about the simple joys, like indulging in the delightful flitters while sharing stories that echo the warmth of our heritage. As we say, "Home is where your heart is," and for me, that heart is in the welcoming embrace of my community, where love grows and friendships flourish.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I'm excited to connect with others who share a love for our rich traditions and vibrant lifestyle.
