Hello! My name is Paula Ramnarine, a proud farmer from the lush landscapes of Essequibo, specifically the vibrant community of Princeville Mainstay in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up amidst the rich soil and the rhythm of the rivers, I’ve cultivated not just crops but a deep connection to the land and the traditions of my Guyanese heritage. From the sweet aroma of freshly baked black cake to the heartwarming gatherings over a plate of pepperpot, my life is intertwined with the flavors and stories that make our culture unique.
As a farmer, I take pride in nurturing the land that has fed generations. Whether it's planting rice in the fertile fields or harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables for my community, I strive to support local farming practices that honor our environment. Though I currently reside in Guyana, my heart reaches across the diaspora, where fellow Guyanese are making their mark around the world.
