Greetings! I’m Petal Edwards, a proud bank teller hailing from the vibrant community of Grant West Field, Siriki, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush greenery, I have always cherished the simple yet rich aspects of our culture, from indulging in a plate of pepperpot to celebrating Mashramani with friends and family. My work allows me to connect with folks from all walks of life, and I’m dedicated to helping my community thrive financially.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I take pride in sharing our unique culture with others. Whether it’s the rhythmic beats of our local chutney music or the spicy flavors of our traditional dishes, I believe there’s something special that ties us all together, no matter where we are in the world. I often reminisce about sunny days spent at the Essequibo River, and I love hearing stories from others who have ventured out from our homeland, just like @johnnycrepaul547, who always reminds us, “Welcome To Guyana!”
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring local markets and supporting our artisans, as well as keeping up with our national sports teams, especially as they shine in the ConCACAF soccer federation. It’s important to me to stay connected to my roots, and I look forward to the future as Guyana continues to grow, especially with our new oil developments!
