Hello! My name is Edith Peters, and I proudly call Mission, located in the stunning Barima-Waini region of Guyana, my home. As a farmer, I have dedicated my life to cultivating the rich, fertile land that our ancestors have worked for generations. There’s nothing quite like the joy of harvesting fresh crops, whether it’s cassava, rice, or the delicious fruits of the tropics. I also love sharing the bounty of my farm with the community, bringing people together over a hearty meal featuring traditional dishes like pepperpot and metemgee.
Living in Mission allows me to embrace the vibrant culture of our Indigenous peoples and the stunning beauty of the Pomeroon River.
