Hello! I’m Lucille Peters, a proud farmer hailing from the vibrant community of Chinese in Barima-Waini, Guyana. My life revolves around the rich soil of our beautiful land, where I cultivate a variety of crops that reflect the heart of our culture—from cassava and plantains to the aromatic spices that bring our local dishes to life. Growing up, I cherished the simple joys of sharing a bowl of pepperpot or a plate of metemgee with family, all while exchanging stories about our ancestors and the resilience that defines us as Guyanese.
