Greetings! My name is Preimchand Jadoo, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Coast 651 Supenaam in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I cherish the rich cultural heritage that shapes our everyday lives. From the sweet aroma of fresh cassava pone during family gatherings to the sound of laughter echoing through the streets during our lively festivals, each moment reflects the warmth and resilience of our people.
Having grown up near the iconic Pomeroon River, I hold dear the memories of fishing trips with friends and exploring the breathtaking scenery around us. The stories shared by locals at the riverside markets, alongside the unique blend of Afro-Guyanese, Indo-Guyanese, and Indigenous cultures, have deeply influenced my identity. As a member of the diaspora, I also stay connected with my roots through the vibrant Guyanese community abroad, where we celebrate our traditions and support each other no matter where we are in the world.
In my spare time, I enjoy sharing my love for Guyanese cuisine, whether it’s the spicy pepperpot or the delightful cook-up rice, with friends and family. Each dish tells a story, and I strive to keep our traditions alive through food and storytelling.
