Welcome! My name is Pryia Baljodha, and I proudly call Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of this beautiful area has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and heritage. My roots run deep in the soil of this land, where the rhythm of life is often dictated by the ebb and flow of the Pomeroon River and the hearty meals shared among family and friends.
As a resident of Guyana, I cherish our culinary delights, from savory dhalpurie to the unique flavors of our local cook-ups. Each dish tells a story, reflecting the diverse influences that have shaped our nation. Although I’ve experienced the complexities of our society, where skin color can sometimes dictate interactions, I strive to foster connections that transcend such barriers. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
