Hello! I’m Punadai Mangra, a proud resident of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of the Pomeroon River, I developed a deep appreciation for our local traditions and the rich history of our communities. Whether it's enjoying a lazy afternoon at Mora King in St. Monica or savoring some authentic curry chicken with family and friends, my roots are an integral part of who I am.
As I navigate life here in Guyana, I also cherish the connections I have with the Guyanese diaspora. Many of us share stories of our homeland, bridging the gap between those of us who stayed and those who ventured abroad. The camaraderie is palpable, as we reminisce about the unique experiences we’ve had, from the lively festivities of Mashramani to the intricate flavors of our diverse cuisine. I often hear the call for a Trinidad and Tobago episode, which highlights how intertwined our Caribbean cultures are.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
