Welcome! My name is Rabindra Beni-Madhu, a proud Guyanese painter based in the vibrant community of Bank Essequibo, nestled along the old road in Tushen, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My art is deeply influenced by the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, drawing inspiration from the lush landscapes, diverse wildlife, and the vibrant stories of my ancestors. I believe that every stroke of my brush captures the essence of our beautiful land, from the sprawling Kaieteur Falls to the colorful markets of Georgetown where the aroma of pepperpot and roti fills the air.
Having traveled to many corners of the world, I return to my roots with a heart full of warmth and hospitality that is characteristic of us Guyanese. Whether it’s having a good laugh with family over a plate of cook-up rice or sharing a moment at the local rum shop, I strive to incorporate those genuine connections into my artwork. I often recall the stories from the diaspora community, where admiration for our culture shines through, like the tales of travelers who have been welcomed with open arms, a testament to the unyielding spirit of the Guyanese people.
