Hello! My name is Rabindra Sharma, and I’m proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. As a sailor, I’ve spent countless hours navigating the beautiful waters that cradle our lush landscapes, from the iconic Pomeroon River to the serene shores of the Atlantic. Growing up in this vibrant region has instilled in me a deep appreciation for Guyana's diverse culture, especially our mouthwatering cuisine. Who doesn’t love a good mango achar? It’s the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and everything nice!
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora, I often hear from friends and family living abroad who reminisce about our homeland. Whether it’s a simple comment about the delicious food or stories about the warmth of our people, it reminds me of the community we share, no matter where we are. Even when I'm far away at sea, I carry the spirit of Guyana with me, from the bustling markets of Georgetown to the calmness of our riverside villages.
