About RABINDRADEO ANSARI

About Rabindradeo Ansari

Greetings from 15 Old Road Zeeburg, nestled in the heart of the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara! My name is Rabindradeo Ansari, and I’m proud to call this beautiful land my home. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant landscapes of Guyana, I cherish the lush greenery along the Pomeroon River and the serene beauty of the Cashew Pond at Karawab. Each day, I am reminded of our rich cultural heritage, from the delicious aroma of pepperpot simmering on the stove to the lively chatter of neighbors reminiscent of the warmth that defines our community.

As a resident of this historically rich region, I have a profound appreciation for the unique blend of cultures that coexist here—whether it's the Indian, African, Amerindian, or Chinese influences reflected in our traditions, music, and of course, our food. I often reminisce about the stories shared by my elders of Georgetown's bustling streets, the magnificent St. George’s Cathedral, and the lively markets where one could find the freshest local produce. For those of us in the diaspora, these memories forge a strong connection to our roots, reminding us that no matter how far we travel, the essence of Guyana remains close to our hearts.

In my daily life, I strive to embody the spirit of togetherness that is so characteristic of our people. Whether it's sharing a plate of metemgee with friends or enjoying a quiet moment by the river, I believe in celebrating the simple joys that life brings. I invite you to connect with me, share your own stories, and keep the spirit of our homeland alive wherever we may be. Marnin' Neighbah! Let's walk this journey together, no matter where in the world we find ourselves.
