Hello! I’m Radesh France, a proud farmer from Lower Pomeroon River Grant Philadelphia, nestled in the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions of Guyanese culture, I’ve developed a love for our diverse cuisine. Pepperpot, a dish that evokes fond memories of family gatherings, holds a special place in my heart—though I must admit, my version tends to stray from the traditional oxtail! I also enjoy sharing stories of our local landmarks, like Wakapau Island, which reflects the beauty of our natural environment. As a farmer, I often participate in local markets, where I not only sell my produce but also engage with others who share the same passion for homegrown goodness.
Though I’m rooted in Guyana, I cherish the connections I've made within the diaspora. Whether it’s hearing comments about our beloved land or swapping recipes with Guyanese abroad, it strengthens the bond we share. My hope is to continue celebrating our culture and connecting with others—both near and far—through the love of our land and our food.
