Greetings! I am Rajesh Parmanand, a dedicated farmer residing on the vibrant Essequibo Coast in Windsor, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots are deeply intertwined with the rich agricultural traditions of Guyana. From the lush fields of my farm to the flowing waters of the Pomeroon River, I cherish the life and community that surround me. There’s nothing quite like the taste of freshly harvested rice or the sweetness of ripe mangoes, which you can often find at my local market.
Growing up near River Myrie Island and Upper Pom, I've been blessed with the natural beauty that our region offers. The warm spirit of the people here, from the hills of Kukurite to the tranquility of Friendship Back Lands, has shaped my values and connection to this land. Whether it’s sharing a meal of pepperpot during the holidays or gathering for community events, the essence of our culture is something I hold dear. I believe in nurturing not just crops, but also relationships that foster our community’s growth.
As I continue my journey in farming, I feel a strong connection to the Guyanese diaspora. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
