Hello! I'm Rajkumar Raghoobar, a dedicated teacher based along the Essequibo Coast Public Road in Hibernia, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in the vibrant heart of Guyana, I've always been inspired by our rich cultural heritage, from the lush landscapes surrounding us to the rhythmic sounds of our diverse communities. Whether it’s sharing a spicy curry while enjoying a sunny afternoon or celebrating the festivals that bring us all together, I cherish the moments that highlight our unique way of life.
As an educator, I strive to instill the values of our Guyanese culture in my students, from the importance of community to the stories that shape our history. It's essential for me to remind them that Guyana is a part of the Caribbean, both historically and culturally. The connection we share with our neighbors reflects in our languages, traditions, and even the bustling markets where the aromas of fresh fruits and snacks like pepperpot fill the air—an experience that truly captures the essence of our homeland.
