As a dedicated housewife, I cherish the role of nurturing my family and upholding our traditions, from preparing delicious meals of pepperpot and roti to celebrating vibrant festivals like Mashramani and Diwali. The sweet aroma of curry cooking on a Sunday morning is something I hold dear, as it brings the family together and reminds us of our roots.
Living in a country blessed with stunning landscapes, from the lush rainforests to the winding rivers, I have always appreciated the beauty of Guyana, even as I acknowledge the challenges we face, such as inequality and environmental concerns. This is a sentiment echoed by many in our diaspora community, who often share both the struggles and joys of life in our beloved homeland.
