Hello! I'm Ralph Duncan, a proud sluice attendant residing at Coast 256 Damon Street in the picturesque Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My life revolves around the rhythms of our rivers and the rich land that nurtures our communities. Growing up in Pomeroon, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our lush landscapes, from the winding Pomeroon River to the serene beauty of our islands like Kamarang and Coporoto. There’s something soulful about the sound of the water and the vibrant life it supports.
As a Guyanese, I'm passionate about our culinary treasures, particularly the flavors of a well-made cook-up rice and the sweetness of fresh fruits like golden apples and mangoes. I cherish the moments spent sharing meals with friends and family, often reminiscing about the times we’d gather by the river for a good time. Beyond the food, my heart is connected to the stories of our people—each person a unique thread in the fabric of our culture, echoing the sentiments of those who have left our shores but carry pieces of Guyana with them wherever they go.
