Greetings! My name is Ramesh Persaud, and I proudly call the beautiful Coast 18 Riverstown Sand in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery of the Pomeroon River and the vibrant communities, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. From the tantalizing aromas of cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting through my neighborhood to the festive sounds of chutney music that resonate during celebrations, my life is a reflection of the diverse influences that make our nation unique.
As a resident in this stunning region, I've witnessed firsthand the warmth of our people, who welcome every visitor like family. It’s not uncommon for us to call our elders “uncle” or “aunty,” regardless of their relation, echoing the familial bonds that strengthen our communities. I often share stories of the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls and the historical significance of our British Guiana past, as I believe understanding our roots is essential to celebrating our present and future.
