Hello! My name is Ramjeet Ramrattie, and I take pride in my roots from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically the 311 Richmond Housing area in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a dedicated labourer, I enjoy the camaraderie that comes with working in our tight-knit communities, where friendship and unity are central values, much like the spirit of Lower Pomeroon River Grant. You can often find me sharing a good laugh with my neighbors or enjoying a plate of delicious cook-up rice with fresh fish, a true staple of our local cuisine.
Having grown up near landmarks such as Mainstay Lake, I hold precious memories of fishing and enjoying the serene beauty of our environment. Like many Guyanese, I cherish our vibrant culture, from the colorful celebrations of Carnival to the rhythms of our folk music. Even if I missed out on the recent Trini Carnival, I find joy in connecting with family and friends through our shared experiences and traditions, whether here at home or among the diaspora.
As I navigate through life, I carry with me the warmth and resilience of our people, always eager to help those around me.
