Greetings! My name is Ramnarine Roopchand, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home, specifically the vibrant and close-knit community of Back Street Paradise in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a dedicated fisherman, I spend my days navigating the rich waters that offer some of the best catches in our beautiful country. Whether it’s targeting the elusive tiger shrimp or the flavorful snapper, I cherish the connection to our land and the deep cultural roots that fishing has in Guyanese life.
Growing up in Guyana means being surrounded by the warmth of our diverse culture, from the mouthwatering aroma of curry and pepperpot wafting through the air to the lively sounds of our local music.
