Greetings! My name is Ramnarine Seereram, and I proudly call the picturesque Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Nestled along the Essequibo Coast, I reside at 62 Public Road Huist, a community that thrives on the warmth and resilience of its people. As a labourer, I engage in the hard work that keeps our local economy moving, often drawing inspiration from the lush greenery and the flowing waters of the Pomeroon River, which are as integral to my life as they are to our culture.
Life here is a blend of rich traditions and vibrant community spirit. Whether it's enjoying the taste of delicious pepperpot during festive gatherings or sharing stories under the stars after a long day, the connections forged with family and friends across our rivers, like River Massarie Island and Upper Pom. River Waiwaro, remind me of the importance of heritage. I often reminisce about my childhood adventures in these beautiful landscapes, where the laughter of children echoes through the sounds of nature.
Though I currently reside in Dieren, the pride I carry as a Guyanese and the bonds with my fellow diaspora are ever-present. My roots run deep in this land of diversity and culture. I cherish the stories shared by my community, from the tales of Karawab to the flavors of our local cuisine, and I strive to keep these connections alive as we continue to thrive, no matter where we are.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
