Hello! My name is Ranee Singh, and I'm a proud educator based in the charming community of Anna Regina, nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich heritage of this beautiful country has shaped my passion for teaching and my commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.
In my classroom, I strive to instill a love for learning while incorporating the vibrant culture of Guyana. From sharing the flavors of our beloved cook-up rice and pepperpot to discussing landmarks like the majestic Kaieteur Falls, I connect lessons to our everyday experiences. I also cherish the connections within our diaspora, as it reminds me of the shared stories and dreams that link our people, whether near or far. As some say, "Aye, I is a Guyanese," which reflects our deep-rooted pride and resilience.
Outside of teaching, you can find me engaging with the community, laughing with friends, or enjoying a good Bollywood film—after all, I often feel like Guyana is a long-lost brother of India! I look forward to inspiring my students as we explore the world together, armed with the rich cultural influences that make us who we are.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
