Greetings from the heart of Guyana! My name is Rattandai Persaud, a proud supervisor residing in the vibrant community of Good Hope Canal No. 1, nestled in the Demerara region. Growing up near the lush Pomeroon River, I cherish the rich heritage of our land, from the aroma of freshly cooked pepperpot to the vibrant colors of our local festivals. Each day, I am inspired by the resilience of our people and the enduring spirit of our ancestors, harking back to the storied past of places like the lost continent of Mu, as some say, which connects us to the original inhabitants of this beautiful land.
