Greetings! My name is Rawle Griffith, and I proudly serve as a fireman on the Essequibo Coast, right here in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My life revolves around ensuring the safety of my community, a responsibility I take to heart. The Essequibo Coast is not just my home; it’s a vibrant tapestry of cultures, where the rhythms of our daily lives are punctuated by the sounds of the Pomeroon River and the aroma of mouthwatering local dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice that fill our homes during festive occasions.
Having grown up surrounded by the stunning landscapes of our country, from the lush rainforests to the scenic riverbanks, I cherish every moment spent in nature. Often, I reminisce with friends and family about our shared experiences exploring landmarks like the Kaieteur Falls and the historical sites of Georgetown. Even though many of us have ventured far—from Delaware to beyond—our hearts remain anchored in the rich culture and traditions of Guyana.
