Hello! My name is Ray De Silva, and I proudly call Pomeroon River Grant Belle View Lower my home. Nestled in the heart of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my community is a vibrant blend of cultures, where Indo-Guyanese traditions flourish alongside the rich history of our Amerindian and African ancestors. Growing up here, I developed a deep appreciation for our local cuisine, from the savory pepperpot during Christmas to the sweet treat of guava cheese. There’s nothing quite like sharing a meal with family and friends while reminiscing about our heritage.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I often find myself reflecting on the diverse landscapes of Guyana—from the lush rainforests teeming with wildlife to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River.
