Hello! I'm Ray Henry, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically Middle Street in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant beauty of our rivers, such as the Upper Pomeroon River, has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our natural resources and culture. Whether it's the laughter echoing through the local markets or the aroma of fresh cook-up rice wafting from my kitchen, life here is filled with moments of connection and joy.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the stories that bind us, whether it’s discussing the significance of our beloved River Katowro Wakapau or reminiscing about the amazing flavors of our local dishes like pepperpot and metemgee.
