Greetings! I'm Ray Fernandez, a proud Guyanese currently serving as a security guard in the beautiful River Evenuri region of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by the vibrant culture that makes our homeland unique—whether it's the mouthwatering taste of pepperpot during Family Day or the breathtaking sights of the Essequibo River. Every day, I carry a piece of this rich heritage with me as I protect the places and people that matter most.
My love for Guyana extends beyond its natural beauty. I deeply appreciate the diverse communities that thrive here, from the Amerindian tribes to the East Indian and African influences that shape our festivals and traditions. I often find myself reminiscing about our festivities, such as Mashramani, where the streets come alive with color and music, or simply enjoying a good cook-up rice with friends under the stars. Being part of the diaspora is also special to me, as it strengthens our connections and brings us together, no matter where we are.
