As a fisherman, I embrace the rich waters of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, where every cast of the net tells a story of tradition and sustenance. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities, I’ve learned the art of fishing not just as a trade, but as a way to connect with my roots and share the bounty of our rivers with family and friends.

The local markets buzz with life, and I love visiting places like Sybil’s in Queens when I’m in the diaspora, where I can taste a slice of home and share laughs with friends who understand the unique Guyanese experience. Whether it’s the camaraderie at the local fishing docks or the festive celebrations during Mashramani, my heart is always anchored in the culture that shaped me.
As I navigate life here in Guyana and abroad, I remain deeply connected to my roots. I cherish the stories of Crabwood Creek and the communities along the Pomeroon River, which remind me of the importance of family and heritage.
