Hello! I’m Reeco Persaud, a carpenter proudly based in the beautiful region of Regina Essequibo Coast, specifically at Walton Hall in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this vibrant community, where the Pomeroon River flows and where I’ve spent countless hours learning the craft of carpentry from skilled artisans around me. The rich traditions of our culture, from the sounds of the river to the vibrant colors of our markets, inspire my work and my life.
As a proud Guyanese, I hold dear the flavors that fill our kitchens—like the aroma of homemade dhal poori roti alongside a hearty curry. Whether it’s sharing a meal with family or crafting a piece of furniture that reflects our heritage, I find joy in bringing a touch of our culture into everything I do. The stories of the Pomeroon, from the Lower Pom River Grant to the bustling community of Freetown Lower, remind me of our resilience and connection to one another.
