Greetings! My name is RENEÉ FERNANDES, and I proudly call the scenic Essequibo Mainstay Lake in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a sawman, I find joy in connecting with the lush landscapes and rich resources that our beautiful Guyana offers. From the vibrant greenery of the rainforest to the tranquil rivers that flow through our communities, I’m passionate about preserving and sharing the natural beauty of our homeland.
Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by the warmth of our diverse culture. I cherish moments spent enjoying local delicacies like spicy pepperpot and fresh fish from the Pomeroon River, as well as celebrating our festivals that showcase the blend of our Indigenous, African, and East Indian heritages. The stories shared around the dinner table and the laughter echoing through our homes remind me of the strong bonds we have as a community, whether here or in the diaspora.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
