Greetings! My name is Reshma Samlall, and I proudly call the vibrant Essequibo Coast my home. Living on 25 Middle Street in Cullen, I embrace the beauty of our lush landscapes and the warmth of our close-knit community. As a housewife, my days are filled with the joys of nurturing my family and sharing our rich Guyanese culture through the flavors of our traditional dishes, like pepperpot and cook-up rice, that always bring us together around the dinner table.
Growing up in this beautiful land, I cherish the breathtaking views of the Essequibo River and the diverse wildlife that surrounds us. The stories from my ancestors about the Lower Pomeroon and our connection to the Arasaro and Koria Wakapau rivers resonate deeply with me and inspire a love for our environment. I always enjoy sharing fun moments, like laughter over the pronunciation of our beloved places—we all know how special Essequibo is, and sometimes, it's just too good not to chuckle!
