Greetings from Essequibo! My name is Revaldo Smith, and I proudly call the vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam home. Living here allows me to immerse myself in the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, where the lush landscapes meet the warm smiles of our people. Having witnessed the changes in our nation, I resonate with the mixed sentiments many share about our homeland. Despite its challenges, I remain optimistic about Guyana's future. As a resident of Essequibo, I take pride in our natural wonders, from the majestic Essequibo River to the vibrant markets where you can find everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts. I cherish the connections I have with my fellow Guyanese, both locally and in the diaspora, as we come together to celebrate our culture and support one another.
