Growing up near the soothing waters of the Pomeroon River, I have always been surrounded by the beauty of our lush landscapes and the warmth of our community. My roots run deep in the traditions of Guyanese life, whether it’s enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot during the holidays or gathering with family and friends for a Sunday cook-up by the riverbank.
