As a resident of this beautiful area, I have a special fondness for the local flavors that define our cuisine. From the fiery scotch bonnet pepper that adds a kick to our dishes, to the sweet and aromatic dishes that celebrate our diverse heritage, food is an integral part of who we are. The natural beauty of our rivers and creeks, like the iconic River Mora and the serene Akawini, inspires me daily, reminding me of the importance of preserving our environment for future generations.
Though I may be far from the bustling diaspora communities around the world, I carry Guyana in my heart wherever I go. Whether I'm sharing experiences with friends abroad or reminiscing about life in Karawab, I remain connected to our unique culture and the warmth of our people. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
