Hello! I’m Richard Thompson, a proud farmer from the beautiful Pomeroon region in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up amidst lush greenery and the gentle flow of the Pomeroon River, my life is deeply intertwined with the land. Here, we cultivate some of the finest fruits and vegetables, including the ever-delicious cassava and plantain, which form the heart of our local cuisine. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a homemade meal of pepperpot with family after a long day in the fields!
As a member of the vibrant Guyanese diaspora, I take immense pride in sharing our culture, traditions, and stories with folks around the world. Whether it’s the sound of our lively chutney music or the sweet aroma of freshly baked black cake during the holidays, I strive to keep our heritage alive.
