Hello! My name is Rieaaz Ali, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo my home. As a spray painter, I pour my creativity into every project, transforming spaces and objects into vibrant expressions of art. Growing up in the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I draw inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding me, which often reflects in my work.
Being Guyanese means embracing our rich culture, especially our beloved cuisine. Whether it’s sharing a plate of the best Chinese food, like the pineapple-style fried rice, or enjoying a homeland meal filled with spices that dance on the palate, I take pride in our culinary heritage. Whenever I get the chance, I love connecting with the diaspora, particularly those in places like New York's Little Guyana, where the warmth of our community is felt even miles away from home.
As I continue to grow in my career, I cherish the progress of our beautiful nation and the experiences that come with it. From the transformation of Cheddi Jagan International Airport to the flourishing tourism that highlights our unique identity, I feel a sense of pride in being part of Guyana’s journey.
