Growing up amidst the lush landscapes of Essequibo, I have always held a deep appreciation for our natural beauty—from the mighty Pomeroon River to the unique attractions like the Dumbarton Castle. My roots run deep here, and I value the stories passed down from my ancestors, especially those connected to our diaspora. I’ve even heard tales of Rihanna's family ties to our community, which only adds to the pride we feel for our heritage.
As I navigate the challenges of daily life, I remain hopeful that our stories and culture will continue to flourish.
