Greetings! My name is Roger Henry, and I proudly call the vibrant Essequibo region home, specifically the 646 New Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Living here allows me to stay connected to the rich culture and traditions of Guyana, where the lush landscapes and the mighty Pomeroon River inspire a sense of community and belonging. As a labourer, I dedicate myself to my work, but my heart is always in the kitchen, whipping up a delicious curry chicken served with roti—a true Guyanese delight! I cherish the moments shared around a table with family and friends, where laughter and stories are as abundant as the food. It’s these traditions that keep our culture alive, even as I connect with fellow Guyanese in the diaspora who share my passion for our homeland.
