Hello! I'm Hinchcliff Edmondson, a proud labourer from the vibrant community of Lower Pomeroon, nestled on Quitaro Island in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and the rich cultural heritage of this area has shaped my identity and instilled in me a deep appreciation for our diverse traditions. From the rhythms of calypso and soca music that echo during our festive celebrations to the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot and metemgee that grace our family tables, every aspect of my life is infused with the warmth and spirit of Guyanese culture.
In addition to my work, I take great pride in my connections with the Guyanese diaspora. Through conversations and stories shared over a plate of cook-up rice or a hot cup of bush tea, I find that no matter where we are in the world, our shared experiences bring us together.
