Hello! My name is Trevor Moore, a proud labourer residing in the vibrant community of Regina Essequibo Coast on 38 Johnson Street, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana has shaped who I am today, from enjoying the delicious flavors of our national dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice, to celebrating our rich cultural heritage during festivals like Mashramani. The warmth of the people here reflects our deep-rooted connections to the land and each other, making Guyana a unique place to call home.
Having spent my life amidst the lush landscapes and waterways of Essequibo, I often find myself reminiscing about the lively markets and the hustle and bustle of the Pomeroon River. Although challenges like the rising cost of living and governance issues weigh heavily on our community, they also bring out the resilience and creativity of Guyanese people. It’s this spirit that fuels my desire to connect with fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, who share stories of their journeys and aspirations.
As I navigate through daily life, I am continually inspired by the strength of our nine Amerindian tribes, our diverse cultures, and the shared dreams of a better Guyana. Whether it’s through conversations about our land or building community through local initiatives, I strive to contribute positively to our society. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
