Hello! I’m Ron Daniels, a proud Guyanese miner living on the beautiful River Massarie Island in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. As a lifelong resident of this vibrant area, I’ve grown up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture that make Guyana a unique place to call home. Mining has always been a part of my life, much like the mighty Pomeroon River that feeds our communities. I often find myself reflecting on the stories shared by my family and friends, whether it’s the adventures we had exploring Warakabra Hill or the laughter that fills our homes during family gatherings. The warmth of our people and the rich flavors of our meals, like a good pepperpot or some fresh-caught fish, are what truly define the Guyanese spirit.
Living here, I cherish the connection with the Guyanese diaspora, who share a love for our homeland no matter where they are in the world.
