About RONALD EMANUEL BYRNE

About Ronald Byrne

Hello! I’m Ronald Byrne, a proud Guyanese currently living on the beautiful Coast 172 Abraham Avenue in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a security guard, my job allows me to connect with a diverse range of people, sharing stories and experiences that reflect the rich culture of our homeland. From the moment I wake up, I am surrounded by the vibrant sounds of nature, reminding me of our lush rainforests and the mighty Essequibo River. I take pride in my roots and always look for ways to celebrate our unique Guyanese heritage.

Food is at the heart of our culture, and I can’t resist a good plate of duck curry—just the thought of it brings a smile to my face! Our culinary traditions, infused with spices and flavors from our multicultural society, tell the story of who we are. Whether it's enjoying a meal with family or cooking up a storm for friends, I believe that sharing food brings us closer together, much like the bond we share with fellow Guyanese both at home and abroad. If you ever want to have a chat about the best places to find a delicious cook-up rice or the secrets behind perfecting a pepperpot, I’m your guy!

As someone who values connections, I always appreciate the conversations that arise from discussing our country’s history and current events, including the quirky happenings from our past—like the infamous Jonestown incident. It’s all part of our story, and I cherish the opportunity to educate others about the warmth, resilience, and diversity that define us as a people. Join me in celebrating the "land of many oils" and the pride of being Guyanese!
