Hello! I’m Rukminie Bissoon, a proud resident of Regina Essequibo Coast, nestled along the scenic banks of the Pomeroon River. Growing up in this vibrant community has gifted me a deep appreciation for the rich culture and traditions of Guyana. From the earthy flavors of our local dishes, like pepperpot and metemgee, to the warmth of our hospitality, I carry the essence of my homeland wherever I go. Living in Essequibo, I am surrounded by the lush greenery and stunning landscapes that make our country unique. It’s true, we face issues like pollution and infrastructure challenges, but it’s the love and camaraderie among Guyanese that keep our spirits high. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
