Hello! My name is Rupert Fredericks, and I’m proud to call the Essequibo Coast in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a miner, I’m deeply connected to the land and the rich natural resources it provides. When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying the vibrant local culture, whether it’s savoring a plate of pepperpot, the beloved dish that embodies our festive spirit, or sharing stories with friends about life on the coast.
Guyana is a melting pot of cultures, and I take pride in our diverse heritage. From the laughter of children playing cricket in the streets to the rich sounds of our folk music resonating during celebrations, there’s always something that makes you feel at home. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
