Hello! I’m Sadiyya Bacchus, a proud resident of Essequibo, nestled along the scenic Old Road Ruby East in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has deeply instilled in me a love for our rich cultural heritage. As someone who values the strength of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the bittersweet feelings that come with being away from home. It’s been almost a decade since many of us have had the chance to experience the warmth of home, yet we carry it with us wherever we go.
