Hello! My name is Sajid Jumah, and I’m a proud Guyanese laborer living on the beautiful Coast 19 Public Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Guyana, often affectionately referred to by some as "Koolaid country," is a land rich in culture and diversity. Living in Pomeroon-Supenaam offers me the privilege of being close to some of Guyana's hidden treasures, including the serene beauty of Waramuri Island. It’s a place where I often reflect on the communal spirit that binds us, whether we’re sharing stories over a plate of guinep or gathering for cricket matches. The diaspora community often shares their experiences about our homeland, and I take pride in their memories, knowing that our culture resonates far beyond our borders.
While challenges exist, such as the disparity between the wealth of some and the struggles of many, the resilience of the Guyanese people shines through.
