Greetings! I'm Salina Persaud-Rupna, a dedicated teacher hailing from the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the vibrant landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our diverse traditions, from the rhythmic beats of our folk music to the aromatic spices that flavor our beloved dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice. My roots in the community inspire me daily as I strive to foster a love for learning in my students while instilling a sense of pride in their Guyanese identity.
Having spent time connecting with the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the stories shared by friends from places like Portion Manawarin and River Grant Maureen's Dale.
