Hello! I’m Samuel Benjamin, a proud resident of Pomeroon River Grant in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled in a land rich with vibrant culture and diverse communities, I find joy in sharing the warmth and hospitality that our people are known for. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected with our homeland, especially as some of my family members have ventured to places like Astoria in search of new opportunities. We may be separated by miles, but our hearts remain intertwined with the rhythms of the Pomeroon River and the stories passed down from our ancestors. My grandfather, who hailed from Belgium, embraced my Guyanese grandmother's culture and taught me the value of heritage and community.
I am also proud of Guyana’s role as a founding member of CARICOM, a testament to our commitment to regional unity and cooperation. I strive to promote our local gems, from the lush landscapes of the Takatu River to the bustling markets of Georgetown. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
