Greetings! My name is Samuel John, and I proudly call River Calabash Island in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a farmer, I cultivate the rich lands that have sustained generations of my family. It's a labor of love that connects me to the earth and to my ancestors who cherished these very fields. From growing cassava to tending to my fruit trees, I embrace the traditions passed down through generations while adapting to modern agricultural practices.
Living in Guyana, every day is filled with the vibrant essence of our culture. My heart aches for our diaspora community, especially those in bustling places like NYC, who carry our Guyanese spirit wherever they go.
