Hello! I’m Sanjay Dhanraj, a proud farmer based in Doorn Haag, Leguan, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of this area, I've cultivated not just crops but a deep appreciation for our rich culture. The flavors of our traditional dishes, from pepperpot to roti, remind me of family gatherings and the warmth of home. I believe that food is a vital part of our identity, and I strive to share that passion with everyone around me.
Living in Guyana, I often reflect on our unique position in the Caribbean. Some say we want to be recognized as Caribbean, and I feel that connection every day. Whether it’s the lively sounds of soca music during Mashramani or the stunning views of the Essequibo River, we have a culture that’s as rich as our soil.
